Red Hot Deal Days
February 3, 2009
Here is a quick tip and a “down and dirty secret” for any real estate investor looking for deals on Atlanta foreclosures.
There are over 1000 new foreclosed listings on the market right now.
Moreover working with an Atlanta area agent who specializes in real estate investments and foreclosed homes can save you hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars by helping you avoid bad decisions.
There are many websites which sell lists of Atlanta foreclosures. While their pricing may sound like a deal and you may have the impression they are an actual real estate company that may not be the truth. In fact you want to make certain the foreclosure list is accurate and up to date. Even if you find a deal on a foreclosed property what looks good on paper may not really be such a steal of a deal.
Make sure you are working with an Atlanta area agent who is experienced in identifying foreclosure deals for real estate investors. None of that transaction is the same as when someone goes to buy a home to live in. There are real estate agents in Atlanta, like Kathy Drewien, who know how to locate foreclosures for real estate investors.

Finding Foreclosure Deals
January 27, 2009
Once upon a time real estate investing in the Atlanta area was an opportunity only for the most wealthy and well connected. Finding foreclosure deals was mostly available to those who played golf or socialized with the bankers who controlled the foreclosed homes.

In recent years, however, the real estate investment scene has changed not only in Atlanta, but in most areas of the nation. Furthermore now that we are presented with such an abundance of foreclosure deals being a real estate investor, even a start up real estate investor, is a whole new game.
It does not matter if you are a beginner at real estate investing or a seasoned professional. Finding foreclosure deals is much more easily accomplished than just a few years ago. Find a real estate agent who specializes in foreclosure deals, someone like Kathy Drewien, and she will guide even the newest real estate investor in the right direction.
You see it simply is not enough to purchase a list of available foreclosed properties, but it is also highly important that the provider of the list understands the difference between a foreclosure and a foreclosure deal.
By the way, did you know that the list you buy from the big dot com companies is the same list of Atlanta foreclosure properties you can get from Kathy Drewien? It is, and you can bank on that.
Real Estate Investors Stop Paying for Foreclosure Data
December 16, 2008
During the last twelve months the number of available foreclosure deals in the Atlanta area has skyrocketed. Real estate investors are like children in a toy store when they read the Atlanta foreclosure reports.
While real estate investing has long been an Atlanta tradition the recent boon in the number of foreclosures has created so many steals and deals that new investors and seasoned investors alike are clamoring to get their hands on the most recent foreclosure reports.
There are so many services which offer to provide foreclosure data that the first time investor may be easily confused as to whether they are receiving the best information with the best deals for their goals.
I recently attended a seminar where the presenter displayed multiple pages of foreclosure deals all from the Atlanta area and offered to sell the reports, weekly, to each of the members of the audience.
When asked if they had any specific information about any of the foreclosed properties he said, “You need to contact a professional real estate agent for detailed and specific information.”
It did not take me long to decide if I had to contact a professional real estate agent for Atlanta foreclosure information – why not just deal directly with a knowledgeable agent from the beginning?
Of course that’s my two cents, I welcome yours.
Begin a New Path Into Real Estate Investing
December 10, 2008
Because of my position in the Atlanta real estate market I am asked almost daily,
“Is this a good time to begin a new path into real estate investing?”
Knowing that the answer is a little subjective I like to ask a few questions.
First, I like to know why the person asking is interested in real estate investing.
Then, I like to know if they are familiar with any types of real estate investment strategies and which ones most interest them. The answers are all over the place.
For first time real estate investors, especially in the Atlanta metropolitan area,
I really like to make sure they understand the opportunity all investors are presented with today.
It is important to me to know that they understand the power of investing in foreclosures and the great number of foreclosure deals available on the market today.
Because investing in Atlanta foreclosures is different than “buying a home” I find my real estate investment clients are much more likely to succeed if they have someone show them how to find Atlanta foreclosure deals and how to properly make an offer.
Before anyone jumps into real estate investing I encourage them to examine the deals available in foreclosures in the Atlanta area.
Steals and Deals in Atlanta Real Estate Foreclosures
December 2, 2008
The Real Deals Don’t Last Long
The best deals are being snatched up only days after going on the market.
If you don’t act within a day or two, another investor will steal the deal instead of you. Or a competing offer will sneak in and beat your price.
Buying a foreclosure by yourself can be tough. A pre-foreclosure, or short sale, is tougher. It seems banks go out of their way to make buying a foreclosure difficult and frustrating.
Tired of running around chasing the best deals?
Tired of being a day late and a dollar short?
