Nothing against slate but &quot;constant maintenance&quot; for granite? That&#039;s a little over the top.

Granite is a rock, one that&#039;s a lot harder than slate by the way. I&#039;ve had granite countertops for the lat 10+ years and never done ANY maintenance on them (much less constant) and they are perfect!

I think a far better method to picking countertops would simple be asthetics.</description>
